Smart-Vision replaces the rearview mirrors with high-definition cameras and interior displays to offer optimized visibility and enhanced ergonomics. Compared with standard rearview mirrors, the interior displays eliminate glare and the automatic adjustment of the screens’ brightness ensures excellent visibility in all lighting conditions, night and day, in every weather and in any driving environment. In addition to eliminating lateral blind spots, the solution provides functions such as the suppression of the A pillar blind spot, parking and maneuvering aid, guidance assistance, or security monitoring around the vehicle.

 Smart-Vision not only offers greater driving comfort and safety by reducing the driver’s fatigue, but also allows a high return on investment (under 2 years in average).

Indeed, the system enables to significantly cut down fuel consumption (by around 5%) thanks to the removal of the mirrors, which lowers wind resistance for improved aerodynamics.

It also eliminates the risk of collision between the mirror and a road user when pulling into bus stops or when cyclists ride along the coach; pedestrians and cyclists are visible from the front to the rear of the vehicle. This minimizes the maintenance costs linked to potential injuries and damages, while maximizing the vehicle’s availability.

Consequently, Smart-Vision participates in reducing the Total Cost of Ownership.

 Besides, the design of the cover can be customized or the system can be delivered to fit the cover design of the customer.

Directly integrated into the glazing, these systems allow the passengers to instantly change the opacity of their window, or part of it, from clear to dark in order to regulate daylight, glare and heat entering in, while preserving the view. They enhance visual, thermal and acoustic comfort for a greater wellness atmosphere, and offer privacy from the outside of the coach.

 They can be controlled directly by the passenger, through a centralized control panel for coach-wide master control, or automatically with light or temperature sensors.

 These dimmable windows can come in multizone versions. Just like digital shades, they provide opacity control of a chosen zone, allowing each passenger to protect from unwanted light for a greater comfort and traveling experience.

 Vision Systems’ solutions block more than 99.9% of harmful UV light (even in clear state) to protect the travelers and to prevent interior furnishing from fading. An integrated IR barrier comes and strengthens heat blockage.

Moreover, they turn dark when the vehicle is stopped keeping the interior cooler when the coach is parked. Therefore they participate in reducing air-conditioning consumption and thus in saving fuel, reducing CO₂ emissions and increasing driving range of electric vehicles.

 Vision Systems will exhibit a dimmable window with an integrated information display, Info-Vision, that gives travel information such as time, temperature, remaining kilometers, or a service availability, in addition to providing a smart shading system.

 Dimmable solutions also find applications in the driver cabin, in the side or back window to limit glare on the dashboard, or as an ergonomic dimmable sun visor integrated into the upper part of the windshield, avoiding to disrupt the driver with handling a shade or to block the view. Vision Systems will showcase a multizone solution integrated into a windshield, with each zone to be dimmed independently.

 Vision Systems’ dimmable shading systems are custom made to meet the specific needs of each customer. They tailor any shape of windows, small or large, flat or curved, in vertical or horizontal position.

 Besides, the in-house developed electronics are integrated, which facilitates installation in original equipment or retrofitting and reduces maintenance and downtime compared with shades (no moving parts, easy-cleaning).
