Sudi Etuz, supported by Mercedes-Benz, will be presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi

Mercedes-Benz Türk is joining the “Mercedes-Benz International Designer Exchange Program” for the third time. Mercedes-Benz Türk will now present the Spring/Summer 2019 collection of Sudi Etuz, the brand created by Şansım Adalı, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi. The young designer, who held a runway show last year at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, combines her couture skills with street style codes, and wins critical acclaim with her seasonal collections.

Designers that Mercedes-Benz previously supported in MBFWI took their collections abroad as part of this program; Gül Ağış presented the Fall/Winter 2015 collection of her brand Lug von Siga at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, and the Spring/Summer 2018 collection of DB Berdan, the brand of the design duo Deniz and Begüm Berdan was showcased at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi is a part of the global fashion platform of Mercedes-Benz, which has been supporting the fashion industry for over twenty years through various collaborations, and stands apart as the first international fashion event of Georgia. With Tbilisi on its way to becoming one of the alternative fashion centers of the region, the fashion week that both supports Georgian designers and also brings together international designers under the same roof will be held on November 1 through November 5 this season. “Mercedes-Benz presents Sudi Etuz” runway show featuring the brand’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection titled “34” will take place on Friday, November 2 at 4.00 pm at the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts.

Şansım Adalı, the creator of Sudi Etuz brand, expressed her excitement and said, “I am proud to be among the Turkish designers that Mercedes-Benz Türk presents on a global platform, and delighted to have the opportunity to showcase my collection in the inspiring city of Tbilisi. For the Spring/Summer 2019 collection, Sudi Etuz draws inspiration from the colors, glow, and ups and downs of Istanbul. Appealing to the wardrobe of a feminine, fun and yet unattainable woman, the collection uses denim, festoons and corsets as well as signature tulles of the brand, and sequins to express Istanbul’s vibrant, dynamic and glittery nightlife.

Şansım Adalı, the creator of Sudi Etuz (born 1982, Istanbul) graduated from the Department of Translation and Interpretation at Bilkent University and spent the 2004-2005 academic year in Brussels, also attending drawing courses and workshops in Antwerp. After completing her education in French linguistics in 2006, she started the Fashion Design Diploma Program at Lasalle International Academy in Istanbul. Adalı presented the first women’s wear collection of her brand Sudi Etuz in 2009. The designer’s aim with the Sudi Etuz brand is to create a romantic, feminine and elegant look for women.
