Honda Named America’s “Best SUV Brand” by U.S. News & World Report for Fourth Straight Year

U.S. News & World Report has named Honda America’s Best SUV Brand for the fourth consecutive year. Based on the strength of Honda’s SUV lineup, the award recognizes the newly updated 2019 HR-V and 2019 Pilot, along with the always popular CR-V, America’s top retail selling SUV over the past 21 years. In addition to each individual model’s strengths, the entire Honda SUV lineup was credited for its excellent reliability and safety, with the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive technology now applied as standard or optional equipment on all Honda SUVs.

“This recognition from U.S. News and World Report, now four years running, speaks volumes to the value we’re providing our customers in a market that can’t get enough of SUVs,” said Henio Arcangeli, Jr., senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and general manager of the Honda Division, “With the recent refresh of Pilot and HR-V, and addition of the all-new Passport early next year, we’re giving customers more options than ever before and further cementing Honda’s position as the SUV brand of choice.”

The Best SUV Brand designation is awarded based on U.S. News & World Report’s overall scores for each vehicle, which incorporate the consensus opinion of the automotive media combined with safety and reliability data.
